THE DESIGNER

As a passionate designer and entrepreneur, Shay Lowe creates stunning jewellery that makes a statement.

Based in Toronto, Shay is a dedicated supporter of the arts community. She is a founding member and former Co-Chair of Turnout, The National Ballet of Canada’s young professionals group. She has served on numerous committees, including Rethink Breast Cancer’s annual Boobyball, The Ontario Science Centre’s LG Innovators’ Ball, Operanation for The Canadian Opera Company, and Artbound. She is currently an outreach alumni member for the Toronto Fashion Incubator.

Noted as a 'Designer on the Rise', she was chosen as one of the Top 15 Designers across Canada for the Cashmere campaign featured at The Bay and has been selected as one of Toronto's Top Ten Jewellery Designers. Shay’s ambitious and striking designs have also earned her a coveted position as one of Toronto’s Most Creative Women, featured in Parisian photographer Pierre Maraval’s exhibit during Luminato, Toronto Mille Femmes. 

Shay does appearances on CityTV Breakfast Television, Cityline, and formerly CTV Canada AM. She was also a featured speaker on a designer panel for Elle Canada Magazine.

Her jewellery can be seen on Season 2 of Hockey Wives on the W Network, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo, and a commercial for Benefit Cosmetics. Shay Lowe Jewellery has been worn by celebrities such as Eva Mendes, Christina Hendricks, Miss Universe 2013, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, Kristin Bauer van Straten (True Blood, HBO), and Bobbie Brown (Ex Wives of Rock).

Shay has designed for Swarovski Elements and her work is featured in a book by Swarovski Elements, 'MADE WITH', showcasing the work of 85 established designers across the globe. She also has a chapter in the best selling series, Making It in High Heels 3rd edition (2013) on women entrepreneurs. 

Shay won the Notable 2014 Business Award for Best in Fashion. She was also nominated for the Chatelaine Profit W100 Top Female Entrepreneurs in Canada 2014, the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards 2014 in addition to 2013. She was also selected as one of "Toronto's Most Fashionable 2012" by the Toronto Star.

She also teaches business seminars at The Toronto Fashion Incubator and has spoken on various business panel discussions.

The Collections are inspired by art, culture, travel, love, society, and old world glamour, and each piece has a signature sparkle and bold design. Shay Lowe's designs have been featured on the cover of FLARE magazine, LG Fashion Week, Fashion magazine, Today's Bride, Wedding Bells, Lou Lou Magazine, Entertainment Tonight Canada and ETalk Daily, The Emmy Awards, the Canadian Film and Screen Awards, The Today Show, David Letterman, Access Hollywood, Breakfast Television, The Social, US Magazine, The Financial Times of London, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Hockey Wives, and numerous other publications and television shows. 
Shay Lowe Jewellery Design was selected by Swarovski Austria to create a piece for their international exhibit showcasing top and emerging talent worldwide. The exhibit piece travelled to New York, Paris, and Hong Kong.
Shay Lowe Jewellery designed a tutu for The National Ballet's Tutu Project, commemorating its 60th Anniversary. This special project was on exhibit at The Design Exchange and the tutu is now part of The National Ballet of Canada's archives.
Shay Lowe Jewellery launched its first formal Wedding Collection exclusive to Kleinfeld Hudson's Bay. 

Shay Lowe Jewellery debuted on The Shopping Channel across Canada October 2014.

With a focus on philanthropy, Shay Lowe’s designs have been featured in countless silent auctions, and launched a special project with Toronto’s Sheena's Place, the Heart 2 Heart Campaign, to raise $25,000 for its support programs.
